The LUXORC carbon coater is an advanced, fully automatic coating device that applies a thin layer of carbon on a SEM sample to prevent it from charging during chemical analysis using EDX/EDS.

Technology
The LUXORC is a fully automatic carbon coater designed for high-precision sample preparation in chemical analysis applications using floor-model, desktop, or high-resolution FE-SEM electron microscopes equipped with EDX/EDS detectors.
Using a Bradley-type carbon rod evaporation source, the LUXORC deposits a consistent, thin carbon layer on SEM samples to prevent charging—ensuring accurate and repeatable results in elemental analysis.
The LUXORC is compatible with the convenient LUXOR sample holders, which support standard pin stubs, cylindrical stubs, and resin-embedded specimens. These holders are interchangeable with the LUXORAu and LUXORPt sputter coaters, offering flexibility for labs that operate multiple coating systems.
The system comes complete with all necessary accessories and auxiliary components, and combined with the optional vacuum pump, it forms a fully functional, stand-alone carbon coating unit.
